JWU At The Zoo

Recently, a student event called JWU at the Zoo took place, and it was an excellent opportunity to get involved and meet new people. The event was on Sept. 9th and was labeled a JWU-only event. The tickets were free, as well as parking, but there were also shuttles to transport students to and from the event. Shuttles picked up and dropped off students at the Wildcat Center bus stop on the Harborside Campus and Gaebe Commons at the Downcity Campus.

During the event, the zoo was closed to the public, allowing students to walk around and explore at their own pace and take their time observing their favorite animals or parts of the zoo. Students could see various animals, including elephants, sloths, piranhas, flamingos, and goats. It was an exciting event with a wide range of animals being present and visible.

Some of the students who attended used the photo booths to capture the joy and excitement of the event. Other students used coin presses that created zoo animal designs on coins to bring home a part of the special night. The event had a great turnout and a mix of grade levels, which created a great sense of community for new and returning students.

The event was a great success and was a lot of fun. I look forward to attending the next event that JWU puts together.
