Dinner and a Show

Following the thrilling draw vs Brandeis, the JWU Women's Soccer team took on St. Joseph's of Maine in a GNAC conference game on September 20. The Wildcats kicked off the game with an appetizer of a goal with 9 minutes left in the first half, from Angelina Oliveira, her first of the season. After some time St. Joseph’s (ME), decided they were hungry again and self-served a snack right into their own goal. Sending the Wildcats into the half ready to serve a full meal.

JWU’s own, Angelina Oliveira, came out ready to roll and sent in her second goal of the night. Thanks to assistance from Lulani Haslinger, they were able to serve up the main dish to St. Joseph’s. But the Wildcats did not stop there. In only 4 minutes 45 seconds, the Wildcats were able to take a 2 point lead to a 5-nothing game. Starting with Angelina’s goal, Sophia Warburton made her first goal of the night; and Ava Wilder was able to serve up dessert with her first goal in collegiate play.

The Wildcats ended the game at 0-5, having scored 4 of their own goals and been given an extra point from St. Joe’s. Stay tuned for more menus served up on Harborside from our Wildcats.
