Final Season Snacks

As the semester comes to a close and finals are going up this week, we often find ourselves studying for hours on end. With long periods of studying, we find ourselves craving food. But what foods are best for us to study with?

Dark Chocolate

In need of something sweet? Well, dark chocolate is a great snack to study with. It contains natural stimulants and even improves blood flow to the brain, which in turn, can help you focus. It also stimulates your body’s production of mood-boosting endorphins, making you happier. And we can all agree, when studying, we could use some of those feel-good feelings.

Nuts and Seeds

Want something a little healthier? Maybe a little more salty? Well, a handful of nuts and seeds are a perfect choice to study with. Nuts and seeds are perfect for you while you study as they can improve memory, concentration, and can even help you think faster. To get more nutrient value you can also roast them.

Fruit

If you want something a little lighter then look no further than fruit! Whether you are looking to eat apples, strawberries, watermelon, pineapple, grapes, or any other fruit, you can get a great amount of benefits. With fruit, which provides vitamin C, your mental function will increase as well as there will be an increase in thinking and memory.

Popcorn

Yes, popcorn is not only for movies. Whether you like it spicy, sweet, salty, or even plain, you can get quite a few benefits from it. Eating popcorn, just like dark chocolate, can improve blood flow to your brain and improve memory function. Even the hulls of the popcorn, the part that gets stuck in your teeth, is great as it can promote memory, learning, and even cognitive function.

With all of these delicious snacks, I hope for you all to study, snack, and get past this semester.
