Valentine’s Day is coming up very soon, and if you are looking for things to do in Providence, then look no further. There are enough events for you and your date to go on, whether it is a JWU event or an event happening around the city.
1. Valentine’s Day Cookie Decorating
The school seems to have plenty of events soon for Valentine’s Day. If you do not want to go too far or spend any money, then look no further: The Den in Downcity. On February, 13 if you go to the den from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can decorate sugar cookies with your date.
2. Snowball Formal
If you want a night that is straight out of a fairytale, look no further than the Snowball Formal. If you can still get the ticket for $15, then you can spend the night of February 17 from 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. at the Omni Hotel. There will be food and a cash bar for all (of age) to enjoy. The night will seem magical, with the night's theme being Fairytale and the dress code being formal attire.
3. Lumina at the Pedestrian Bridge
If you have been anywhere around Providence or the Pedestrian Bridge, you could have seen the light festival that has been happening since January 19 and will end on February 20. If you are thinking of going out into the town for a Valentine’s Day date, then think of taking a walk to the bridge and seeing the 25 prisms that stand over six feet tall.
4. Stuff a Heart
On February 14th from 12 until 3, if you go to the Friedman Center lounge, you will be able to stuff a heart for or with your Valentines. With how they have done stuff a plush in the past, I assume it is first come, first serve.
If you can go on these dates with your Valentine, I hope it is a great time. I hope all of you have a great Valentine’s Day, no matter what you do.
