During family weekend, there was everything from carnival games, sport events, and even Wildcat Willie. But from 11-4pm on Saturday October 5th, there were food trucks lining the parking lot across from the CCE building. That may have been the highlight of the weekend for me, (besides family).
There were many options of food to choose from. Whether it was spicy chili oil dumplings, the pork gyros, or the custom burgers, there was something for everyone. There were even vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options for everyone to be able to enjoy. There was also seating to enjoy the food, and carnival rides to go on once finished.
I’m sure traveling to JWU cost some money, thankfully the food trucks were selling food at a reasonable price, with big portions to share with family. Most items were below $10, the amount of food and delicious flavors were added bonus of high quality for low price.
While there were a lot of people, and the lines may have been long, the food made up for it. With the variety of options and being able to spend time with the ones you love, I’d say the food trucks were a huge success!
