To Be Seen (Expectations)

the stars weren’t made to be seen

weren’t made to be witnessed

the stars were made to just be

be without expectation

without exception

the stars have no purpose

no motivation to exist

to be witnessed in awe

wholly uncaring of perception

they existed for eons before we perceived them

and they’ll exist for a millennia after we’re gone

allowed to exist

to simply be

they just are.
