Clubs across campus have been celebrating fall and Halloween with different events and treats. One of these events was hosted by the Pastry Arts Club (PAC), consisting of sugar pulling. Students were shown how to make sugar pumpkins, ghosts, witch hats, and more.
The event happens every year, where PAC works with Chef Lagalle to instruct the workshop for anyone who signs up. A demo happens at the start of class showing how to pull sugar pumpkins and ghosts. Students are then able to break off and work on their own sugar pieces. Chef Lagalle will help students who want to work on more specific things such as flowers and witch hats or whatever the students want to attempt to make.
The demo was able to help students strengthen their skills using sugar, to collaborate with JWU staff and students, and to get into the Halloween mood!
