There is a New Juszczyk in the NFL

My mom always told me growing up that I had a wicked fashion sense, so for me Kristin Juszczyk is the G.O.A.T. of fashion. She started her fashion brand Origin in 2018 after moving to San Francisco. And like many of her designs she started with a blank canvas and created something major.

From a humble beginning of crocheting with her grandmother, Kristin rediscovered her passion with a hunger to revitalize game day fashion. Now what is game day fashion? No, it is not just a jersey and jeans. Game day fashion is much more serious… or at least it is now thanks to Kristin and her insane customizations.

In 6 short years Kristin has gone from sewing Halloween costumes for her and her husband to creating one of the most interesting partnerships we have seen in sports fashion today. In case you haven’t heard, Kristin Juszczyk now has permission from the NFL to put their logo on her designs. I found the news on Instagram; it seemed like every big sports site was posting about it and rightly so. This was a huge deal.

How did she get so much attention that she won the National Football League allure? By investing in herself. In this scary new age of technology, people can start businesses over social media and market, promote, and profit off themselves as well. Kristin posted her game day outfits to her 1.1 million followers. She took her followers through her process in videos of her sewing on the floor of her apartment and built a relationship and trust with them.

Fans come in all shapes, sizes, and tax brackets. Kristin's designs broke on through to the other side, into the world of fame and fortune. Designing a game day outfit for Olympic gold medal winning gymnast Simone Biles by utilizing just her husband’s jersey. The social media world exploded. Don’t worry, that’s actually a good thing. Soon, she was commissioned again to inspire game day outfits for Taylor Swift and Brittney Mahomes. She ripped a call back on using jerseys, this time those of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. And then… social media exploded… again.

What did Kristin do with this express trip to success and stardom in both the world of sports and fashion. She was eager to make a change. With the help of the NFL allowing her to use their official Super Bowl LVIII logo, she customized a vibrant new puffer. She did make some to give away (because this business is all about personal connection) to Brock Purdy, Cristian McCaffrey, Kelly Clarkson, and Lil Wayne to name a few. But what stuck with me was the auction she set up with the National Breast Cancer Foundation. She auctioned off one of the puffers and raised 75,000 dollars! What an incredible feat, all thanks to Kristin’s creativity and belief in herself.

Kristin Juszczyk and the NFL, Kim Kardashian and the NBA, there is a trend blossoming of women fashion designers not only gaining recognition but reward for all their hard work and creativity. Yes, that is right creativity should be rewarded because one day it could turn into one of the coolest and most innovative deals with an organization like the NFL. There is nothing better than seeing someone invest in themselves and get a return that fulfills their wildest hopes and dreams.
